Non-invasive testing is a critical element when determining treatment options for patients with venous disease. This includes varicose and spider veins. Duplex ultrasonography allows us to hear how the blood is flowing in your veins and to also directly visualize your veins. This technique is used to assess the status and quality of your superficial veins as well as your deep veins. It is also used to determine the origin of your varicose veins. After carefully reviewing your test, this will determine what kind of treatment options are appropriate for each patient.
